	The graduation ceremonies for the graduates of 2008 mixed pride and tears of joy for all participants. Graduating this term were Nicole Brite, Samantha Cina, and Marquita Williams. It was an ceremony filled with encouraging cheers, words of promise and silent tears from parents , friends and staff as these women move onto their next stage in life. The ceremony opened with a welcome from Dr. David Craig, Executive Director of KDS, who wished the students success in their future endeavors. A moving moment of song was performed by Kate Byrd, daughter of Lorretta Byrd. Meridith Pettigrew, Director of Autism Services, gave words of encouragement and best wishes for the future. Following the ceremony, family, friends and well wishers gathered at Vinson Hall for cake and refreshments.
